【雅思写作】考官眼里的好词，可能和你想象中的不同

各位学霸们好，今天黄老师跟大家来聊一下雅思写作中什么样的词才能被称为’好词’。

首先，我们需要纠正一个误区：❎ 好词 ≠ 复杂词。

原因有两个：

好词不等于复杂词

1. 复杂的词不一定符合该句话的语境

换句话来说就是意思会很怪。比如同学们可以体会一下这句中文：❎ 人们在用膳时会选择快餐。

假设一个外国同学需要考中文，在网上搜到了’吃饭’的替换词’用膳’，然后直接套用到这句话中，那么大家可以发现，他的得分必然很低。

2. 复杂的词让你的文章显得不一致

就像是小时候有的同学抄作业一样，老师一看就知道这几句话不是你写的。原因就是和前后文格格不入。雅思大作文也是一样的，如果❎通篇都是非常简单的词，但是突然碰出来几个超级高端词，考官也有理由怀疑是你临时背诵的。

所以，我们在积累雅思词汇时，需要注意以下两点：

1. 一定要在句子中背诵词汇

同学们请一定记住这句话：❎脱离了句子的单词写作时也用不出来。

比如有这样一个词：facilitate v. 促进大家背了以后可能阅读看到能认识，认识写作的时候就是想不起来。

但是如果在这句话中看到了该词：learning a foreign language facilitates cognitive skills (认知功能).

那么，后面在写类似话题的时候，大家是一定能用出来的。

2. 不要背太复杂的词汇

背单词时一定要追求✅地道而不是❎复杂，最好能在母语者的书面文章中积累单词。黄老师每次在上课时都会对应不同的话题（e.g. 环境/经济等）讲解对应的地道单词和其用法，同学们每类话题如果能有10-20个地道词储备，那么考试时是一定能用出来这些词的。
